About RenoRange
RenoRange publishes free, itemized home-improvement cost calculators and material guides for homeowners across the United States. Our goal is simple: replace "it depends" with a real number range, so you can budget a project and walk into contractor conversations already knowing roughly what things should cost. That's the idea behind our name — every renovation has a price range, and knowing yours is the whole point.
How our estimates are built
Each calculator uses current installed-cost ranges — materials and labor combined — drawn from published industry cost data and adjusted for the factors that actually move a quote: material grade, size, height or complexity, add-ons like railings or stairs, and regional labor differences. We show every estimate as an honest low-to-high range and break it into line items, because a single number would imply a precision that doesn't exist in real-world bids.
How we stay free
The calculators are free to use. We earn through advertising, affiliate links to relevant products, and by connecting homeowners who request quotes with local contractors and lead-matching partners. This never changes the numbers a calculator produces.
What we are not
We are not a contractor and do not perform construction work. Our estimates are for planning only and are not quotes, bids, or guarantees of price. Always confirm with written quotes from licensed local professionals before you budget or hire.
